Welcome to the PIE Lab!
We are an ecology research lab based out of Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
We are interested in how environmental change influences insects, plants, and the interactions between them. The main subjects studied in the lab are plant–insect interactions, foraging ecology of butterflies, roles of invasive species in native communities, urbanization, biotic homogenization, and the processes driving shifts in community structure.
